VALASANA                                                                        NON   SALUTE   STATE

Valasna state formerly Western India States (Sabar kantha) Agency, merged in Saurashtra, now in Gujarat State , area of state was 21 Square Miles comprising of  10 villages and population of  the state was 3,971 in 1931.

The Fifth Class state and taluka in Mahi Kantha comprised ten villages, covering 21 square miles.It had a combined population of 2,749 in 1901, yielding a state revenue of 5,953 Rupees (mostly from land), paying a tribute of 280 Rupees to the Gaekwar Baroda State.It was founded in 1812 and was ruled by Rajput Chieftains, styled Thakur, whose flag was plane orange .
