STATE
Gondal State was
one of the eight first class princely states of Kathiawar Agency, Bombay Presidency in British India.
Ruled by a Hindu Rajput dynasty of
the Jadeja clan, the
capital of the state was Gondal town.Area of
state was 2652 square Sq. Km. comprising
of 180 villages and population of the state
was 2,05,840 in 1931.Privy purse of state at the time of accession in to
independent India on 15
February1948 was Rs.8,00,000.
