 BILKHA                                                                   ( NON  GUN   SALUTE  STATE )

Bilkha ( Najwala, Bilkha Najwala, Naja Kala ) A small offshoot of the Jetpur taluka, formerly Western Kathiawar Agency, merged in Saurashtra, now in Gujarat State , area of state was 350 Sq. Km.   ,and population of state was 29,633 in 1931, Privy purse of state at the time of accession in to independent India  on 15 February 1948  was Rs.1,00,000.

Court fee stamps :--

Type- 5  - used in 1920 AD,  Size 76x42mm., Imperf.  , wove  paper. Ornamental background . NAJAVALA  / STATE / BILKHA  over printed in English vertically from bottom to top in second colour.

Type- 8  - used in 1924-28,  Size 64x39mm., Perf. 11  , wove  paper.  There are 2 varieties in this type.  (A)  English value panel at left in upper and lower case with serifs  and Gujrati  value in right hand of the portrait  , bold English value panel to right in upper and lower case.  (B) The value panels reversed .
